Job summary
ENVECO is seeking a multi-skilled maintenance technician to install, inspect, repair and maintain alley gates, playground equipment and outdoor facilities. The role covers practical maintenance, basic groundworks and DIY tasks under the direction of the Facilities & Project Manager, ensuring assets stay safe and operational.
The ideal candidate will have relevant hands-on maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence and be prepared to pursue an RPII Operational Inspection qualification
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Practical experience in maintenance, groundworks or related hands-on roles.
- RPII Operational Inspection qualification or willingness to complete within 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain alley gates, fencing, posts, locks, hinges and fixtures.
- Carry out basic groundworks including digging, excavation, post installation, concreting and making good surfaces.
- Inspect, maintain and minor repairs to playground equipment and facilities.
- Identify damaged or unsafe equipment and report or make safe per procedures.
- Assist with installation/removal of playground equipment, gates and outdoor fixtures.
- Carry out general facilities maintenance and DIY tasks including carpentry, painting and cleaning.
- Undertake basic grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming and vegetation clearance.
- Safely use hand and power tools and grounds maintenance equipment.
- Move materials, equipment and stock safely; support contractors as needed.
- Comply with health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
