Here at Americold Whitchurch we are now recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician.

As a Maintenance Technician your role will be to assist the Engineering Manager with the daily function of running the Maintenance department. Dealing with mechanical, electrical and refrigeration planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site to ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose and downtime is kept to a minimum.

This position will require you to control and supervise external contractors to ensure Americold H&S policies are always met and adhered to and to ensure the department’s risk assessments and SOPs are updated and compliant.

You will drive KPI targets through continuous improvement within the maintenance team and assess individual training needs and implement development plans for each team member.

Experience Required

Skill / Knowledge:

• Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance
• Refrigeration knowledge/experience
• Ammonia knowledge
• Warehouse/Distribution knowledge/experience
• Computer knowledge, Windows, Excel, cloud-based maintenance software
• Formal Supervisor training

Qualifications (i.e. critical requirement to perform the role)

• NVQ, BTEC, NNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 17th/18th Edition Qualified - desirable
• IOSH Managing safety.

Working Hours

4 on 4 off pattern from 6am - 6pm
