Job summary

Imperium Recruitment is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to join a global logistics organisation. You will maintain and improve automated equipment and engineering processes across the network, with 4 on 4 off shifts, days and nights, and a £50,000 salary.

This role offers ongoing training and career progression within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment focused on reliability and continuous improvement in world-class logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline).
• Experience in logistics, manufacturing, distribution, automation, or similar operational environment preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with automated systems, conveyors, robotics, or warehouse technologies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of engineering systems and automated equipment.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to ensure smooth day-to-day performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for technical issues.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Assist with project planning, equipment upgrades, and installation activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports, and performance data analysis.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes and reliability initiatives.
