As JDR's expansion into Blyth continues to progress, we are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the startup of JDR’s brand new facility in Cambois, Blyth.
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Maintenance Technicians will maintain and repair equipment within designated areas to ensure that production priorities are met, and equipment performs to its optimum capacity. Equipment includes rotating equipment, stranders, extrusion lines, armourers and carousels.
The successful candidate will work to strict safety and quality requirements to ensure that the machinery used to manufacture our product are running to their maximum efficiency and output. Included will be total preventative maintenance (TPM) and managing breakdowns, along with responding to technical issues affecting production and maintain mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).

As either a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be time served in a Multi-Skilled discipline and/or qualified to ONC, A Levels, City & Guilds level 3, BTec National Diploma Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification.
A practical approach to problem solving and substantial experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is also required to be successful in this role along with a commercial understanding of the impact of failure/downtime on production and ultimately customer delivery.
The successful candidate will also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and hold an understanding of lean manufacturing including the 5S process. In addition, the candidate will be able to work under minimum supervision with the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
