Job summary

PDL Global Recruitment is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician for an established industrial manufacturer in Invergordon. The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance to support busy production.

You will diagnose faults, carry out planned maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to health and safety procedures. Flexible shift patterns & overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled engineering qualification.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Experience with motor controls and industrial control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Experience with PLC fault diagnosis.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across production plant and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs on machinery and process equipment.
• Respond promptly to plant breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and scheduled plant inspections.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical equipment inspections and identify required repairs.
• Use appropriate electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Liaise with production personnel to ensure machinery and equipment remain in proper working order.
• Carry out troubleshooting, installation, fault-finding and repair work.
• Diagnose PLC and control-system issues.
• Work with motor controls, temperature and pressure sensing and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings for fault diagnosis and circuit isolation.
• Maintain and repair bearings, belt drives, couplings, chain conveyors, elevators, pumps, motors, gearboxes and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Complete root-cause analysis and follow-up on equipment or process issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs and control-system changes.
• Support equipment modifications and continuous-improvement projects.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
