West Midlands Safari Park are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Person to join our Maintenance team. The successful candidate will manage daily maintenance schedules of work across the site assisting the maintenance manager with the co-ordination of maintenance works.
The role will also be responsible for undertaking diagnostic work, repairs and preventative maintenance including general plumbing, carpentry, electrical and ground works ensuring all work complies with relevant Health and Safety regulations, documented procedures and is undertaken to set deadline and budgets.
About you
You will have previous demonstratable experience working in a skilled maintenance environment and be able to demonstrate your ability to work efficiently within a responsive role to meeting changing priorities and deadlines.
You will be capable and confident in the use of wide range of tools and equipment without the need of supervision, you will be able to complete schedules of work both independently and as part of a team.
A formal qualification in a relevant maintenance field, IPAF and PASMA is desirable.
Due to the role supporting across the entire business, the successful candidate will need to hold a full, valid driving license to access restricted areas.
You will need to be flexible in your approach to working outside of standard business hours, working shift patterns that may require working weekend days, bank holidays and some evenings.

West Midlands Safari Park is and award-winning visitor attraction, located in Worcestershire in the heart of England. It is home to some of the world's most beautiful and critically endangered species, with four-mile safari drive-through, walk through Discovery Trail, African Village and Lemur Woods, as well beautiful walking trails, allowing guests to experience up close encounters with hundreds of exotic animals. Guests can also choose from a wide range of catering and retail outlets, as well as enjoying a large amusement area with over 25 rides and attractions providing the ideal venue for family days out.
In 2021, the park introduced Safari Lodges - luxury accommodation allowing guests to stay overnight for the first time. Guests can wake up to incredible sights of elephants, giraffe, rhino and red panda, or sleep just a 'whisker' away from lions, tigers and cheetahs.
In addition, the park is home to three incredible venues -Spring Grove House, Tree Tops Pavillion and Cellarz which play host to weddings, corporate events and social celebrations.
