Job summary

Merlin Entertainments' SEA LIFE London Aquarium is seeking a hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep life support systems, exhibits and building services running safely and smoothly.

You will lead planned maintenance, fault-finding on pumps, AHUs, chillers, DMX lighting, PLC controls, and general repairs in a busy public venue, on early and late shifts, with strong emphasis on safety and working at height.

Qualifications

• Proven working history as an engineer within a factory, manufacturing, or heavy industrial background.
• A Degree, City & Guilds or ONC, NVQ Level 3 or BTEC equivalent
• To hold the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capabilities.
• Be familiar with PLC controls, HVAC/chiller systems, and fluid/pumping mechanics.
• A proactive "can-do" attitude with experience managing heavy PPM schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair high-flow pumps and life support systems.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance on mechanical plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot general lighting and DMX lighting across exhibits and public zones.
• Perform PLC fault finding and diagnostics on automated controls.
• Carry out scheduled PPM for AHUs, AC units, chillers and extract fans.
• Undertake general facility repairs and toilet maintenance as needed.
