Job summary

Winsearch is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer in Warrington, Cheshire, offering a £53,352 annual salary. The role requires a time‑served apprenticeship with FMCG/manufacturing experience and strong skills in electrical and mechanical maintenance, PLCs, automation, and fault finding.

You will support PPM schedules and improvements across the site. Expect a shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off, plus 18 days off every 5 weeks.

Qualifications

Time‑served engineering apprenticeship in FMCG/manufacturing environments.
NVQ Level 4 or HNC desirable but not essential.
Experience with electrical control systems, PLCs, automation and fault finding.

Responsibilities

Fix and maintain equipment; perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance.
Carry out ad hoc operational tasks as required.
Report to Maintenance Manager and Shift Managers using reporting systems.
Follow task schedules and manage workload; complete tasks on time and to standard.
Operate safely using Dynamic Risk Assessment principles.
Repair plant and equipment; support development of PPM schedules.
Operate forklift and elevated work platform when needed; support visiting engineers.
Raise work requests in CMMS and identify spares; fabricate simple brackets using basic machines.
Identify root causes and report equipment faults to improve reliability.
