Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Nights), Sowerby Bridge

We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a prominent PVC manufacturing company near Huddersfield. Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the production facility's peak efficiency and performance.

Job Overview

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to maintain optimal production flow and meet customer delivery targets.
• Carry out reactive, preventative, and planned maintenance across machinery and equipment to ensure high operational availability.
• Support site infrastructure and facilities.
• Install new mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
• Contribute to maintenance cost-saving strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

Job Requirements

• Hands-on experience and understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance practices and regulations.
• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with extrusion, mixing, and blending equipment is advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of PPM and TPM practices to improve equipment reliability and quality.
• Strong communication skills.
• Welding experience (MIG and Stick) is preferred but not required.
• Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.

Salary & Benefits

• Night shift hours: 10:00pm - 6:00am
• Salary: Approximately £48,000
