Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd. is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a days-based role in North Glasgow. The position offers a salary up to £50,000 and a Monday to Friday pattern with no nights, plus opportunities for technical development and long-term progression.

The role involves maintaining automated production machinery, performing PPM and reactive maintenance, and fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills evident across production assets.
• Experience performing both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Background in manufacturing, FMCG, processing, or industrial settings.
• Recognised engineering qualification – Electrical, Mechanical, Multi-Skilled or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding, maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose faults across automated production machinery and control systems.
• Maintain motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, drives, sensors, pumps and pneumatic systems.
• Carry out electrical fault finding across motors, sensors, control panels and associated equipment.
• Identify recurring faults and support root cause analysis.
• Complete mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Assist machinery installations and engineering improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production teams to maximise availability and reliability.
