Job summary

Veolia in Camden is seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer - Mechanical Bias, ideally with steam experience. The role covers reactive and proactive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and site infrastructure, with a focus on ensuring equipment availability and compliance.

You will inspect, diagnose and repair plant, support steam and process systems, read technical drawings, and maintain accurate maintenance records while working a 44-hour week on rotating shifts,

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in industrial or utilities settings.
• Strong mechanical maintenance with electrical/instrumentation knowledge.
• Experienced with planned and reactive maintenance and fault-finding.
• Background with steam systems, boilers, pressure systems or process utilities.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Experience with permit-to-work and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and site systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain plant equipment and instrumentation.
• Support steam and process systems; perform fault-finding and repairs.
• Carry out installations and improvements; work safely per procedures.
• Maintain records, permits, reports and KPI data; coordinate with contractors and client.
