Job summary

Synergi Search & Select is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias for a 5-month contract in a manufacturing environment. Focus on boilers and utility plant, with both mechanical and electrical maintenance.

You will perform PPM, respond to breakdowns, minimize downtime, and work with the engineering team on continuous improvement while ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer.
• Mechanical bias with electrical maintenance capability.
• Essential boiler experience.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Experience in manufacturing/FMCG/food/packaging/automation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain and support boiler and associated utility plant equipment.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join an established manufacturing environment on a 5-month contract. The role will focus on maintaining production and utility equipment, with particular emphasis on boilers and associated systems, while supporting both mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

• A mechanical bias with good electrical maintenance capability.

• Essential: Previous boiler experience.

• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.

• Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging or automated production environment is preferred.

• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Availability to start at short notice.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with boilers and utility systems.

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.

• Electrical fault-finding and maintenance knowledge.

• Experience with automated production machinery.
