Job summary

Omega Resource Group is recruiting for a Mult-skilled Maintenance Engineer in the Burton upon Trent area. You will maintain and improve heavy manufacturing equipment within a large, established facility, with no Sunday work and limited Saturdays.

The role offers strong career progression, excellent benefits, and a salary of £53,500 plus overtime. Responsibilities include planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and supporting reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes and rotating equipment.
• Competent in mechanical fitting and maintenance activities.
• Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge would help.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on manufacturing equipment and site machinery.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise production output.
• Maintain conveyors, mixers, batching systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors and related plant equipment.
• Record maintenance activities using the CMMS system accurately.
• Support plant performance and uptime through close work with production and engineering teams.
