Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a large FMCG manufacturing site in Nottingham. The role suits either electrically or mechanically biased engineers in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.

The successful candidate will perform hands-on maintenance across a range of machinery, with training opportunities including PLC upskilling and tailored courses, while collaborating with a close-knit shift team to maximise uptime.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical OR electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or similar environments.
• Strong breakdown and fault-finding ability.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across high-speed production machinery.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Completing PPMs and supporting improvements to the site's maintenance programme.
• Working on conveyors, flow wrappers, mixers, ovens, cooling systems, slicers, bagging and end-of-line equipment.
• Identifying recurring faults and supporting reliability and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborating with production and the wider engineering team to minimise downtime.
