Job summary

AB InBev is recruiting an ambitious multi-skilled engineer to maintain and optimise the automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will diagnose faults, drive root-cause fixes, and implement sustainable improvements to maximise reliability and output.

Reporting to the First Line Manager, you will own maintenance activities, develop SOPs, and collaborate with OEMs and contractors to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong electrical bias with multi-skilled engineering capability.
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments and cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Planned and reactive maintenance across the ASRS as part of a multi-skilled team.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults in a high-pressure environment.
  • Take ownership of breakdowns from initial fault to permanent resolution.
  • Analyse equipment performance data to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
  • Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Develop and improve SOPs, SWIs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Work closely with OEMs and contractors to resolve technical issues and manage spares.
  • Record maintenance activity accurately within SAP/CMMS systems.
  • Uphold safety, quality and performance standards at all times.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team culture built on accountability and ownership.
  • Work at height where required.

Primary purpose and function of position:

Reporting to the First Line Manager, you will play a key role within a high-performing engineering team supporting a fast-paced Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS).

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on fault finding, problem solving, and driving equipment reliability in a demanding FMCG environment. You will take ownership of issues,identifyroot causes, and implement sustainable improvements to maximise system performance.

This role is ideal for an ambitious, proactive engineer who takes ownership, learns quickly, and is motivated to progress into a leadership position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

You willbe responsible forplanned and reactive maintenance across the ASRS as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.

Accountabilities:
Mechanicaland Electricalmaintenance, including
  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across the ASRS system
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults in a high-pressure environment
  • Take full ownership of breakdowns frominitialfault through to permanent resolution
  • Analyse equipment performance data toidentifyandeliminaterecurring issues
  • Identifyand deliver continuous improvement initiatives to improve system reliability and performance
  • Challenge existing practices and drive improvements to engineering and operational standards
  • Develop and improve SOPs, SWIs, and maintenance procedures

Key Experience and Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  • Multi-skilled engineer with strong electrical bias
  • Provenfault findingexperience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplined engineering team
Desirable
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled systems
  • SAPPM/ CMMS experience
  • Experience withautomated warehouse systems
  • Demonstrates ambition and capability to progress into a leadershiprole
