Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK poultry manufacturer for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join a busy site on a fixed 4-on, 4-off shift.

You'll be responsible for planned maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and continuous improvement to keep production lines running safely and efficiently, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills on production machinery.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Proactive problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Perform welding and fabrication work as required.
• Carry out basic electrical fault finding where appropriate.
• Maintain maintenance records using a CMMS.
• Prepare maintenance documentation and handover reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
• Work with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
