Job summary

NP Aerospace Ltd. seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to service, repair and improve plant, equipment and facilities at our Coventry site. The role covers mechanical and electrical maintenance, reactive fault finding, and participation in PM programs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will rotate continental shifts and support safety, process improvements and AI-driven maintenance initiatives. We welcome candidates with a strong PLC/electrical understanding, hydraulics, pneumatics,

Qualifications

• Time served maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Fault finding and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance.
• Good IT skills including Word and Excel.
• Experience using AI tools or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of waterjet cutting systems and compression moulding equipment.
• BS 7671 electrical knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair plant, equipment and building services to PM standards.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Support EHS compliance in maintenance activities.
• Perform machine tool changes, equipment modifications and improvements.
• Assist installation, commissioning and modification of production equipment.
• Install and improve safety systems across plant and production areas.
• Assist with changes to production lines and layouts.
• Support site development and manufacturing improvements via maintenance input.
• Produce and update work instructions for maintenance tasks.
• Provide practical engineering input for improvement projects.
• Oversee contractors on site and ensure safe completion of tasks.
