Job summary

Auxo Advanced Engineering in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a food manufacturing site in Kettering. You should hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have FMCG maintenance experience to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement.

The role involves regular maintenance, fault diagnosis, and keeping production running efficiently with a 4 on 4 off days pattern, followed by nights for a block and a return to days.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Kettering? You will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have experience of working within a FMCG environment. As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of £53,820 plus excellent benefits (too long to list) working 4 on 4 off days for 3 blocks then 1 block of nights and back to days.

As a Maintenance Engineer your role will involve

• Carry out regular maintenance and inspections on production machinery to help prevent faults and keep equipment running reliably
• To assist in the development of predictive and planned maintenance systems for all production equipment and the implementation of those systems
• Quickly respond to machine breakdowns, identify the cause of the issue, and complete repairs or arrange specialist support where needed
• Set up, adjust, and change over machinery to keep production running efficiently and reduce downtime
• Inspect and calibrate equipment to ensure it operates safely and meets quality and performance standards
• Fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines relevant documentation
• Ensuring that machinery is maintained, and repaired to a high standard
• Work with production teams to identify ways to improve equipment performance and support more efficient processes

Suitable Candidates

• Apprentice Trained Maintenance Engineer. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or any multi skilled engineering electrical
• ONC / HNC in Engineering - or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge
• Experience with electrical & mechanical maintenance - FMCG manufacturing
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations
• Flexible, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
