Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in Stockport is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance across site assets, driving reliability and safety within a leading UK window blinds manufacturer.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and assist with new plant installations, while supporting apprentice training and contractor supervision. A strong electrical/mechanical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience with a strong electrical bias.
• Minimum Level 3 electrical qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (Desirable).
• Experience with portable and fixed appliance testing (Desirable).
• Experience using CMMS maintenance systems (Desirable).
• Experience within a manufacturing environment (Desirable).
• Experience with continuous improvement projects (Desirable).
• Previous experience working with contractors (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical and mechanical equipment across the site, including services, distribution systems, plant, and miscellaneous equipment.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and installation work.
• Perform portable and fixed appliance testing.
• Support new plant, machinery, equipment and services installations.
• Assist with apprentice training and supervise contractors when required.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of the maintenance function.

Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias

Location: Stockport, Cheshire

Salary: £40,000 – £43,000 per annum (Paid Weekly)

Shift: Days – Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30

You will be responsible for maintaining all electrical and mechanical equipment across the site, including services, distribution systems, plant machinery, and miscellaneous equipment, ensuring all work is completed in line with current legislation, company standards, and health and safety requirements.

The role will involve both planned and reactive maintenance, electrical and mechanical fault-finding, installation work, portable and fixed appliance testing, and supporting new plant, machinery, equipment, and services installations.

You will also have the opportunity to assist with apprentice training, supervise contractors when required, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the maintenance function.
