Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing an established FMCG manufacturing business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in Stonehouse.

You will diagnose faults, carry out tests, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in a fast-paced environment, using planned maintenance systems and CMMS to record activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG environments is essential.
• Recognised electrical and/or mechanical apprenticeship/s.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance capabilities.
• Experience using CMMS or electronic maintenance systems.
• Ability to analyse recurring faults and support root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, test, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced FMCG setting.
• Use planned maintenance systems to prioritise workloads and support root cause failure analysis.
• liaise with OEMs and suppliers for technical support and parts.
• Support 5S programmes and accurately record activities using the CMMS.
• Contribute to reducing equipment downtime through trend analysis.

Recruit4staff are representing an established FMCG manufacturing business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in Stonehouse

Job Details:

• Pay: Up to £52,000 per annum (plus an annual 5% bonus)
• Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off, including days and nights, 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am
• Duration: Permanent
• Benefits: 276 hours' annual leave, free parking, life assurance, healthcare cover and pension contributions matched up to 8%

Job Role:

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will diagnose faults, test, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. You will use planned maintenance systems to prioritise workloads and support root cause failure analysis, while identifying trends in recurring faults and breakdowns to reduce equipment downtime. The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will also liaise with OEMs and suppliers for technical support and replacement parts, support departmental 5S programmes and accurately record engineering activities using the electronic maintenance management system.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or within a similar engineering position in the FMCG industry
• Recognised electrical and/or mechanical apprenticeship
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and maintenance capabilities
• Ability to analyse recurring equipment faults and support root cause failure analysis
• Experience using electronic or planned maintenance management systems

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Experience working with 5S programmes within an engineering or manufacturing environment
