We are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join the engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident engineer who is unafraid to challenge decisions and capable of working both as part of a team and independently to join one of the manufacturing sector’s most exciting and progressive companies.

Reporting to the engineering site leader, your main tasks will include repair and planned maintenance of automated equipment and continuous improvement. Some development engineering work may also be available to an appropriately qualified candidate.
Based mainly at our Norfolk Bridge Works site, you will be expected to travel between all six Gripple Ltd manufacturing sites, four of which are in the Lower Don Valley area of Sheffield. Therefore, a full UK/EU driving licence is required.
The ideal candidate should ideally be apprentice-trained with experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You must be extremely team-oriented, IT literate, and possess excellent communication skills. You should have a mechanical bias, with some electrical ability and experience. Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:
The position involves working regular mornings and afternoons Monday to Friday, as well as night shifts and weekends to meet business demands. A flexible, ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
