Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers for a busy manufacturing site in England on an urgent contract basis. You will carry out PPM across production equipment, diagnose faults and support automated machinery to minimise downtime.

The ideal candidate has proven electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, experience in FMCG or food production environments, and the ability to work shifts. Immediate start available with potential contract extensions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer with both electrical and mechanical capability.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing, FMCG or food production environment.
• Experience working with automated production, packaging or similar machinery.
• A strong PPM and reactive maintenance background.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) across production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
• Support the maintenance and reliability of automated production machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Work safely and independently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Complete maintenance activities in line with site procedures and standards.
• Provide effective technical support to production teams.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are currently recruiting for experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a busy manufacturing/production environment on an urgent contract basis. Opportunities are available for both Shift Engineers and Day Shift Engineers, with immediate availability required for the day shift positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) across production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
• Support the maintenance and reliability of automated production machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Work safely and independently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Complete maintenance activities in line with site procedures and standards.
• Provide effective technical support to production teams.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Relevant engineering qualifications.
• Previous contract engineering experience.
