Job summary

Kingston Barnes is recruiting for a hands-on Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a leading UK plant-based drinks producer in Bath. You will maintain production equipment, respond to breakdowns and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Working a 4 on, 4 off shift, you will play a vital role in maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns, delivering planned preventative maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is preferred.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HND or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded using the CMMS.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability.
• Support continuous improvement projects to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
• Promote high standards of health & safety, food safety and quality.
• Coach and support colleagues while contributing to a positive engineering culture.

Working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, you'll play a vital role in maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns, delivering planned preventative maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

About You

• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience.
• Previous experience within FMCG or food manufacturing (preferred).
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HND or equivalent).
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and teamwork.
