Job summary

JT Recruit is seeking a skilled Joiner to join the Repairs Team. You’ll carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance work in council homes and buildings, helping us deliver a high-quality service to our residents.

You’ll work closely with team leaders and other trades to ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role includes work in both occupied and empty properties, with potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds in Joinery, or equivalent.
• Proven carpentry and joinery experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to use handheld devices (PDAs).

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Complete work in both occupied and empty properties.
• Work across other trades in a multi-skilled role.
• Ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
• Communicate clearly with tenants and provide customer service.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Keep accurate records using a PDA or device.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the work vehicle.
• Support emergency/out-of-hours repairs when required.
• Collaborate with other trades to complete jobs efficiently.
