Job summary

Southway Housing Trust in Manchester is seeking a Multi-Skilled Joiner to join the Property Services team. The role offers a 35-hour week, permanent contract, and a competitive salary. You will hold NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (Level 3 desirable), be able to work across related trades, and participate in an out-of-hours repairs rota.

A full manual driving licence is required. Southway provides a contributory pension, a health care plan and generous holiday entitlement, with 25 days rising

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery.
• Multi-skilling ability across related trades (e.g., plumbing, plastering, tiling).
• Experience delivering a customer-focused service.
• Demonstrable personal organization and effective working.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an out of hours emergency repairs rota.
• Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
• Maintain safe, compliant, and well-maintained facilities.
