Job summary

EQUANS is seeking a Joiner to join our Leeds team on a permanent basis, delivering multi-trade joinery within repairs and maintenance contracts. This full-time position includes a company vehicle and benefits, with standard hours of 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Applicants should have joinery experience and relevant qualifications, hold a valid UK driving licence, and be prepared to work on site on a busy maintenance contract in Leeds. Training and development opportunities are available.

• Previous joinery experience and qualifications.
• Up to date relevant industry knowledge.
• Understanding of local government.
• Experience of partnership arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out various multi trade tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company.
• Compliance with specification.
• Provide a multi-skilled trade service on the allocated site; assist the Site team with day-to-day running of the project.
• Assist in delivering Repairs, Maintenance and Refurbishment services including monitoring of a team of Trade Operatives.
• Deliver a wide range of Repairs, Maintenance and Refurbishment works.
• Escalate issues to Supervisor/Manager to ensure service delivery is not impacted.
• Comply with materials/workmanship schedules.
• Use appropriate safety equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy; complete site-based documentation accurately and promptly.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Joiner to join our team in Leeds working on their repairs and maintenance contract on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

Working hours are Monday to Friday - 8am-5pm with 30mins for lunch.

What will you deliver?

• Carry out various multi trade tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company.
• Compliance with specification.
• To provide a multi-skilled trade service, working on the allocated site. Assist the Site team with day to day running of the project.
• Assist in the delivery of a high performing, effective and efficient Repairs, Maintenance and Refurbishment Service including the monitoring of a team of Trade Operatives.
• Responsible for delivering a wide range of Repairs, Maintenance and Refurbishment works.
• Escalate any issue of concern/potential concern to the Supervisor/Manager as required to ensure a pro-active approach is maintained and service delivery is not impacted.
• Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules.
• To use appropriate safety equipment.
• To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day.
• Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation.
