This field-based role covers installation, commissioning, inspection and repair of Port Solutions equipment such as harbour cranes and straddle carriers, with travel across the UK coast. Ideal candidates will be based in northern England (Newcastle, Gateshead or Teesside preferred) and must be willing to spend up to two weeks away from home.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 / HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering, with practical competence in both.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics.
• Experience of Siemens S7 desirable.
• Organised and self-motivated.
• Computer proficient including basic networking and component diagnostics.
• Familiar with PUWER and LOLER.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work at height.
• Able to spend periods away from home (up to two weeks at a time).

We are looking for candidates who are ideally based in northern England, preferably in Newcastle, Gateshead or Teesside. From time to time, this role can also offer the opportunity to work overseas, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
