Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Fabric Engineer to support a growing facilities management operation in the UK. The role focuses on delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across building fabric disciplines, ensuring reliable service delivery and client satisfaction.

You will perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical/plumbing tasks, with hands-on involvement in minor mechanical fixes, PPMs, and safety compliance to uphold high industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or building services.
• Trade background or served experience in a similar role.
• Basic electrical and/or plumbing skills.
• Manual handling certified and physically fit for working at heights and confined spaces.
• Strong communication skills and IT literacy for task recording and updates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building fabric maintenance and repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and patch works.
• Carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• Maintain inspection logs, remedial reports, and communicate updates to clients.
• Perform tasks such as door repairs, ceiling tile replacements, tiling, and gutter clearance.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and maintain equipment condition.

As the Multi Skilled Fabric Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
