Job summary

Cibus People Ltd is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer (Rotating Day Shifts) for a fast-paced FMCG food manufacturing setting. You will maintain electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventative maintenance and support production with standby and call-out duties.

The role requires reading drawings, pneumatic skills, and the ability to work independently. A UK driving license is essential, and the candidate should have relevant engineering qualifications or an apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Mechanical & electrical maintenance experience in an FMCG setting.
• Qualified to C&G/NVQ Level 2 or higher or completed apprenticeship.
• Able to read mechanical/assembly drawings.
• Must have valid UK driving license.
• Good level of English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Minimise downtime through maintenance of plant and machinery.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
• Support production by engaging in standby/Call-out rota.
• Upskill operators on best practice with plant and equipment.

The Company

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer (Rotating Day Sgifts) to join a growing fast paced food manufacturing business that offers variety, responsibility and career development.

The Role

As a Multi-skilled Engineer in both Electrical & Mechanical disciplines you will be responsible for

• Ensuring minimal downtime of production facility through effective and timely maintenance and repair of plant and machinery (both Electrical & Mechanical)
• Limitation of plant / equipment failure through effective planned preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
• Support on-going production output by engaging in the rotating Standby & Call-out Rota.
• Engage in upskilling operators to enhance best practice on use of plant and equipment.

Working pattern - 45.25 Hours per week

Week1 - 06:00 - 15:15 (Monday to Thursday) 06:00 - 14.15 (Friday)

Week 2 - 12:45 - 22:00 (Monday to Thursday) 13:45 - 22:00 (Friday)

Candidate Requirements

• Clean, valid UK driver's license with access to vehicle
• Mechanical & Electrical experience within an FMCG environment (Food desirable)
• Must be able to work independently or assisted on all aspects of maintenance work
• Mechanical Engineering qualification to C&G /NVQ Level 2 equivalent or higher / or achieved full Apprenticeship (Certificates to be made available)
• Demonstrable mechanical fitting abilities /experience
• Ability to read and interpret Mechanical / assembly drawings.
• Good pneumatic skills
• Good level of English both written and spoken
• Ability to work at heights & confined spaces
