Avara Foods is seeking a Single Skilled or Multi Skilled Engineer to join the Hatchery team in Shobdon, Herefordshire. You will maintain safe and efficient operation, maximise equipment performance and support improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role offers training, career progression, and a rotating shift pattern with on-call requirements after training. Competitive hourly pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in engineering.
• Experience as single-skilled or multi-skilled engineer.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.
• Record maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
• Maintain site engineering and hygiene standards.
• Assist with electrical and mechanical projects.
