Job summary

Princes Group in Long Sutton (United Kingdom) is seeking a maintenance engineer for a 12-hour day shift. The role covers electrical, mechanical and process maintenance, with emphasis on safe operation and regulatory compliance within a fast-moving consumer goods environment.

You will execute work plans, manage PPMs and breakdowns, and support CI projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Strong problem-solving, QA, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment.
• PC literate and able to use CMMS (SAP) and standard safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site assets to optimise efficiency and compliance with H&S policies.
• Execute work schedules, PPMs, breakdowns, capital and CI projects.
• Support the site engineering team and other functions to deliver manufacturing targets.
• Record work carried out on PPMs, breakdowns and repairs; close issues.
• Promote 5S, GMP and continuous improvement practices.
• Communicate handovers clearly and report daily to the engineering team.
