Job summary

CHEP is seeking a Field-Based Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to support several CHEP service centres across the Daventry region. You will maintain, fault-find, and improve automated equipment, ensuring safety, reliability and optimal performance across multiple sites.

This role offers autonomy, variety and a real impact on operation-wide improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical background, Level 3 qualifications, experience with automation/PLCs, and a full UK

Qualifications

• Electrical bias with relevant electrical qualifications (Level 3 or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use workshop tools.
• Experience in automated or safety-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance across multiple CHEP facilities.
• Diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement of maintenance processes and equipment.
• Support site reliability initiatives and safety compliance.
• Log and manage maintenance activities using CMMS; supervise contractors.
