Job summary

CHEP UK Ltd. in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, is seeking a Maintenance Team Manager to lead the engineering function at our Pontefract Service Centre.

You will drive TPM-based maintenance, ensure safe and efficient plant performance, and manage an on-site team of twelve technicians in a fast-paced automated environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a twelve-person Maintenance Technicians team with high capability and accountability.
  • Embed and enhance the Engineering TPM Maintenance Strategy to shift from reactive to proactive maintenance.
  • Manage breakdowns and planned maintenance using internal and external resources.
  • Develop and deliver a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program ensuring compliance.
  • Drive equipment reliability through standard procedures and performance monitoring.
  • Manage engineering data systems and ensure CMMS data integrity.
  • Support engineering and capex projects including installation and commissioning of new automated equipment.
  • Own maintenance budgets and control material spend on site.
  • Manage contractors on site per safety and legal requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, ensuring Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
