Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Multi-skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias to join our FM team based at East Midlands Airport. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-site responsibilities for electrical and mechanical maintenance.

You will require relevant trade qualifications, mobile engineering experience in M&E services (electrical biased preferred), a full UK driving licence and a strong health and safety focus. On-call duties and accurate documentation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Need relevant experience in an associated trade (electrician/plumber).
• Experience as mobile engineer in M&E services, preferably electrical biased.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and knowledge of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Check, clean, service and maintain equipment to company standards (SFG20).
• Maximise safety, reliability, availability and presentation of equipment.
• Carry out repairs within training and competence scope.
• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete paperwork/reports.
• Handle reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and document them.
• On‑call to provide full out‑of-hours cover.
• Complete duties in line with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate work-related documentation on time.

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Multi-skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias to join our FM segment of the business and our the team, based out of East Midlands Airport. Working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Making Possible

• Checking, cleaning, servicing, maintenance and record-keeping to be consistently carried out to the standards set down by the Company in accordance with SFG20 and with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
• The objective is to maximise equipment safety reliability, availability and presentation.
• Also to carry out repairs within the scope of training and competence.
• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
• Carrying out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
• Being on call to provide the client with full out of hours cover.
• Carrying out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Understanding and completing all work related documentation accurately and on time.
• Carrying out work in a safe and diligent manner.
• Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.

You will be working with a team of on site engineers.

What do you bring to the role?

• You must have relevant experience and a recognised qualification in an associated trade. (Electrician, Plumbing etc).
• Must have Mobile Engineer Experience within M&E Services preferably Electrical Biased.
• Rota basis call out Experience.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
• Strong customer care focus.
• Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
