Job summary

Eko Talent is hiring a Multi Skilled Engineer for a Monday–Friday day shift in the United Kingdom. You will maintain production equipment, respond to breakdowns, and drive improvements to increase reliability and efficiency across the site.

You will work with the engineering and production teams to diagnose issues, perform both mechanical and electrical repairs, and assist with installations and commissioning of new equipment.

Qualifications

• Must perform planned preventative maintenance across machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Provide technical guidance and support to operators.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery.
• Respond quickly to mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults using a systematic approach and implement repairs.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, robotics, automated lines, and related machinery.
• Ensure maintenance records are accurate and actions completed.
• Support continuous improvement to increase reliability, efficiency, quality and safety site-wide.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and optimise performance.
• Assist with machine changeovers, installations and commissioning of new equipment.

The Role

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Working closely with production and the wider engineering team, you'll carry out planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and identify opportunities to improve equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of production machinery.


• Respond quickly to mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime.


• Diagnose faults using a systematic approach and implement effective repairs.


• Maintain and repair conveyors, robotics, automated production lines, and associated machinery.


• Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded and follow-up actions are completed.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability, efficiency, quality, and safety across the site.


• Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve equipment issues and optimise machine performance.


• Assist with machine changeovers, installations, and commissioning of new equipment where required.


• Provide technical guidance and basic operator training to help improve machine reliability and reduce recurring faults.
