Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer in the Bristol area for an international FMCG business. The role focuses on maintaining elevators and conveyors, with 4 on / 4 off shifts including days and nights.

The company will invest in upskilling to build strong electrical and mechanical maintenance capabilities and offers group-wide career progression. Two positions are available; candidates should be electrically biased, ideally with an engineering NVQ L3 or equivalent

Job description

International FMCG business who are market leaders in the UK require a Multi-Skilled Engineer for their operations in the Bristol area.

The business will invest in upskilling individuals to help develop an good overall Electrical / Mechanical maintenance skillset. Group wide career progression offered.

There are two positions available.

Position 1:

• 4 on / 4off days & nights (6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am)

Position 2:

• 4 on / 4off days (6am to 6pm)

As the the main equipment you will be maintaing are Elevators and Conveyors, the Engineering Manager is open to what industry experience you have, whether it's Food & Drink, FMCG, Automotive or Heavier industries.

Main duties

• Carry out repairs and maintenance to help reduce downtime and improve plant reliability.
• Diagnose faults quickly and effectively
• Communicate effectively with Production and Engineering leadership regarding downtime and corrective actions
• All work should be carried out safely to a high standard

Candidate

• Electrically biased Multi-skilled Engineer who has ideally worked in a manufacturing environment (Food & Drink, FMCG, Automotive or Heavier industries).
• Self-starter who is proactive.
• Ideally apprenticeship qualified or hold an engineering based NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Ideally have some form of Electrical qualification.
