Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is hiring for a maintenance technician responsible for delivering planned and reactive M&E and building fabric maintenance across our sites in Northampton, Cambridge, and London. The role is hybrid with site visits, requires NVQ in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services, a valid UK driving licence, CSCS, and sound safety documentation practices.

You will complete service sheets, manage contractor performance, and support the site supervisor to meet SLAs, KPIs, and quality

Qualifications

• Experience in planned and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety documentation and site safety procedures.
• CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
• First Aid knowledge.
• IT literate with Excel and Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems.
• Ensure all delegated reactive works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
• Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly.
• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.

About The Role:

Days of Working: Monday to Friday - Mon - Fri 08:00-17:00

This is a hybrid role across Northampton, Cambridge and some London sites

Essential Hiring Criteria:

• Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
• Must have a current, valid driving licence.
• NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services along with proven maintenance experience.
• Sound knowledge of understanding and developing safety documentation to ensure site safety procedures are always followed.
• CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of First Aid
• IT Literate - Basic understanding of Excel & Microsoft products
