Job summary

TipTopJob is partnering with a fast-scaling business in the Hereford area to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias. You will join the maintenance team to react to issues and drive improvements across production lines, performing high level fault finding in electrical and mechanical domains.

You will operate and set up machinery for production, maintain safety features, and log maintenance data to build a complete plant history. A Panama 24/7 rotating shift pattern is involved.

Qualifications

• Must be time served.
• Experience in a manufacturing/process environment.
• Flexibility to work across all areas of the facility.
• Ability to commit to the Panama rota.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment to the required standards,
• Set up machinery in preparation for production operations
• Periodically test the operation of machine safety features
• Complete planned and preventative maintenance schedules and record results
• Record parts used and time taken to build an accurate plant history
• Review maintenance routines to ensure best use of resources
• Store and record maintenance routines
• Record plant breakdowns or work requests to build an accurate plant history
• Provide access to procedures, drawings and manuals
• Ensure all breakdowns are reported to failure mode level

We are partnering with a fast:scaling business currently expanding its core engineering group and looking to appoint a Multi:Skilled Engineer with an Electrical bias.

The main purpose of your role will involve

• working as part of the maintenance team reacting to and resolving day to day issues
• working closely with other departments and production lines to identify improvements
• high level fault finding on both electrical and mechanical applications.
• working a 24/7 rotating Panama shift pattern.

Day To Day

• operate machinery and equipment to the required standards,
• set up machinery in preparation for production operations
• periodically test the operation of machine safety features
• completing planned and preventative maintenance schedules ensuring the results are clearly recorded and validated
• completing routines and works orders including recording parts used and time taken to build an accurate plant history.
• review of maintenance routines to ensure best use of resources.
• storing and recording of maintenance routines.
• recording of plant breakdowns or work requests to build an accurate plant history.
• providing simple easy access to associated procedures, drawings and manuals.
• ensuring all breakdowns are reported and recorded to failure mode level
