Job summary

MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer on a permanent, full-time basis. This hands-on role provides electrical and mechanical maintenance across a high-volume, 24/7 site, supporting both planned and reactive tasks to maximise equipment reliability and OEE.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained engineer with a relevant engineering qualification.
• Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance or engineering role.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Good understanding of industrial machinery, controls and PLCs.
• Experience in FMCG, food, beverage or process manufacturing is advantageous.
• CMMS/SAP experience would be beneficial.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-find and complete permanent repairs.
• Identify potential equipment failures through proactive maintenance and inspections.
• Support Production to minimise downtime and improve OEE.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the CMMS.
• Work safely and comply with EHSQ policies.
• Support the wider Engineering and Maintenance team when required.

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a hands-on engineering role working within a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment, providing electrical and mechanical support across the site with a strong focus on planned and reactive maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement.

The Role

You'll work closely with the Maintenance and Production teams to keep the site running efficiently, responding to breakdowns, completing PPMs and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance support across the site.

What We're Looking For
