Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join a facilities maintenance team on a prestigious commercial site in Woking.

You will perform electrical and basic mechanical maintenance, covering planned and reactive tasks, with a rotating shift pattern and on-call rota.

The role requires C&G Electrical Installation 2360 or equivalent, fault-finding skills and a proactive approach to safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical maintenance in commercial buildings.
• C&G Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation 2360 or equivalent.
• Electrical installation, testing and inspection experience.
• Knowledge of RAMS and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns.
• Complete electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Carry out electrical installation, testing and inspection.
• Maintain lighting and electrical distribution systems.
• Assist with basic mechanical maintenance when required.
• Diagnose faults across building services and plant.
• Respond to emergencies and call-outs.
• Complete accurate PPM records and documentation.
• Work with specialist contractors and other maintenance team members.
• Ensure all works comply with health and safety requirements.
• Assist other trades when required.
• Carry out LSP duties in line with L8 requirements when required.

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join a Facilities Maintenance team working on a prestigious commercial site in Woking.

This is a great opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who is confident carrying out both electrical and basic mechanical maintenance within a busy, high-specification environment.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday on a rotating weekly shift pattern:
• 6:00am – 2:30pm
• 8:00am – 5:00pm
• 1:30pm – 10:00pm
• Shared on-call rota – 1 week in 9

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems
• Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
• Complete electrical fault finding and repairs
• Carry out electrical installation, testing and inspection
• Maintain lighting and electrical distribution systems
• Assist with basic mechanical maintenance when required
• Diagnose faults across building services and plant
• Respond to emergencies and call-outs
• Complete accurate PPM records, reports and documentation
• Work with specialist contractors and other members of the maintenance team
• Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety requirements
• Assist other trades and work across disciplines when required

Requirements

• C&G Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation 2360 or recognised equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar electrical maintenance role
• Strong electrical fault-finding experience
• Experience carrying out electrical PPM within commercial buildings
• Electrical installation, testing and inspection experience
• Good understanding of critical and non-critical building systems
• Knowledge of CAFM/PPM systems and PDA use
• Good understanding of RAMS and health & safety
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

• 18th Edition
• C&G Inspection & Testing or equivalent
• BMS knowledge
• Basic mechanical maintenance experience
• COSHH knowledge
