Job summary

Mitie Group plc seeks a Multi-Skilled Electrical & Mechanical Engineer to support installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of industrial effluent and wastewater treatment systems across customer sites in the UK.

Responsibilities include installing and commissioning equipment (DAF units, pumps, mixers, dosing systems), carrying out planned maintenance and fault finding on electrical, mechanical and process systems, and interpreting drawings and documentation to support activities.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
• Experience in industrial effluent or wastewater treatment is required.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.

Job description

We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Electrical & Mechanical Engineer who will support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of industrial effluent and wastewater treatment systems across customer sites throughout the UK. Role Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble and commission industrial effluent treatment equipment, including DAF units, disc filters, pumps, mixers, chemical dosing systems and associated process equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and fault finding on electrical, mechanical and process systems.
• Install and maintain electrical equipment including motors, instrumentation, sensors, control panels, MCCs and field devices.
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs and technical documentation to support installation and commissioning activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards, whilst maintaining accurate service and commissioning records. Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role. Recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
• Proven experience within industrial effluent treatment, wastewater treatment, water treatment, or a similar process industry environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills with experience installing and commissioning industrial process equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
