Multi-Skilled Commissioning Engineer – Fire & Security Systems

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Commissioning Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading UK-wide Fire and Security Systems company. Job Overview

• Position: Multi-Skilled Commissioning Engineer (Fire & Security Systems)
• Location: Manchester – covering surrounding areas
• Salary: £37,000 per annum, plus call-out payments and overtime
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (approx. 1 in 4 weekend call-out rota)
• Type: Permanent (PAYE)

Key Responsibilities

• Commissioning of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, and Fire Systems.
• Ensure all installations and commissioning activities are completed to industry standards.
• Conduct fault-finding, system testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to deliver seamless commissioning.
• Complete and submit all commissioning reports and documentation in line with company and industry requirements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in commissioning Fire and Security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, and Fire Alarms.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Good organisational skills, including time management and prioritisation.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the designated region.
• Applicants should reside within a reasonable driving distance of Manchester and surrounding areas.
