Fletchers Bakery, part of Finsbury Food Group, is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Apprentice Engineer to complete a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship. The programme combines AMRC Training Centre study with hands-on workplace experience to become a qualified maintenance engineer.

The candidate will be attending an AMRC Training Centre course, backed up with workplace experience to carry out an engineering apprenticeship; the outcome being a qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
Role & responsibilities:
With over 125 years of baking tradition, and part of the Finsbury Group since 2014, Fletchers Bakery can trace its roots back to 1895, when it first started to produce much-loved sliced breads. It’s now one of the most diverse and highly efficient bakery manufacturers in the UK, serving both the retail and foodservice industries.
Based in the heart of Sheffield, Fletchers employs over 400 people. Its nine high-volume manufacturing lines produce a wide range of products for both the retail and food service markets. The range includes Buns and Rolls, English and American Muffins, Baguettes, Doughnuts and Sliced Breads all in either fresh or frozen formats.
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.
