Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is recruiting a Multi-skill Trades Operative focused on plumbing. The role covers Skegness, Boston and surrounding areas, delivering multi-trade repairs in customers’ homes.

You will require NVQ Level 2 Plumbing, a full driving licence and a DBS check. Competitive salary with overtime options and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Plumbing is essential.
• Experience as a Plumber in building trades or multi-skilled plumber.
• Experience delivering multi-trade repairs for social landlords/councils.
• Desirable: additional trades skills (carpentry, plaster patching, decorating, wall tiling).
• Full current driving licence is essential for a mobile role.

Summary

Platform Property Care are looking for an experienced Multi Skill Trades Plumber to join our talented Responsive Repairs team covering Skegness, Boston and the surrounding areas, to help us ensure our customer’s homes are maintained to a high-quality standard.

You will be a Multi Skill Trades Operative and plumbing will be your focus, but experience in other trades is essential, as you will be delivering Multi Trade repairs within a responsive repairs environment.

The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It’s a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you’ll have the support of a great team.

We want somebody who can:

A team player, you’ll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You’ll be working in people’s homes, so you will need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You’ll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.

We are looking for someone who has:

• NVQ L2 Plumbing is essential
• Experience of working as a Plumber in the building trade either as a Plumber or as a multi-skilled Plumber
• Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council, delivering multi trade repairs and maintenance
• Associated trade skills, and or qualifications in carpentry, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling would also be desirable.
• Experience of delivering multi-trade work
• Good organisational skills
• Experience of keeping jobs on track
• The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently.
• Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
• Full current valid driving Licence essential as this is a mobile role.
• As you will be working within Customer’s homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required.

This role is for a team covering repairs in Skegness, Boston and the surrounding areas so you will need to live here.
