Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking an experienced Multi Skill Carpenter to join Platform Property Care in Birmingham. You will perform a mix of carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, flooring and decoration in customers' homes, from inspection to completion, with a focus on Right First-Time delivery.

You'll work with the Localities Area Manager to manage jobs, keep customers informed, and maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Carpentry with associated trade skills of Flooring, Plastering, Tiling and Decoration.
• Experience delivering Multi Trade work.
• NVQ L2 Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
• Good organisational skills and ability to keep jobs on track.
• Full driving licence required for a mobile role; van and fuel card provided.
• DBS check required as work is in customers' homes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and carry out a range of multi-skilled maintenance works across homes.
• Inspect, then complete works and conduct post-inspections.
• Deliver Right First-Time outcomes and liaise with customers to close jobs.

Platform Property Care hasa fantastic opportunity for anexperiencedMulti Skill Carpenter based in Birmingham to join our Responsive Repairs team to help us maintain and improve our homes.

What could you be doing?

You will beensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard. You will be an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter who can carry out a range of multi skilled maintenance works such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, wall tiling, flooring, and decoration including major works.

You will work closely with the Localities Area Manager in this area, to manage jobs from inspection, through carrying out the works independently and post inspection once works are completed.

You will thrive on giving great customer service, keeping jobs on track and possess the drive to make sure the work is completed to spec. You'll have full control of your job completion, inclusive of materials and liaison with customers.

The role is varied, and no two days are the same! It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return you'll have the support of a great team!

Some Things We Need From You

You will be qualified in Carpentry with associated trade skills of Flooring, Plastering, Tiling and Decoration

You’ll have the ability to demonstrate an expertise in these trades and be able to deliver and resolve a repair job from start to finish.

• Experience of delivering Multi Trade work,
• You will be qualified to at least NVQ L2 Carpentry
• You will have good organisational skillsand experience of keeping jobs on track
• And the personal drive to ensure works are completed quickly, efficiently and delivered right first time
• A full driving licence is essential as this is a mobile role, a van with fuel card is provided
• As you will be working within Customers' homes this role requires a DBS check

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota as required.

This role is for a team covering Birmingham so you will need to live here or close by.
