Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is seeking a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter to cover Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas. You will be based in Nottinghamshire but flexible across Newark/Nottingham, using a company van.

The role focuses on carpentry with multi-trade repairs and maintenance in customers' homes. You will join a supportive Repairs & Maintenance team, with overtime opportunities, a competitive salary up to £36,848 and a benefits package including pension,

Qualifications

• NVQ L2 Carpentry is required.
• Experience as Carpenter or multi-skilled Carpenter in building trades.
• Experience working for a social landlord, housing association or council.
• Multi-trade skills in plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and tiling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-trade repairs and maintenance in customers' homes.
• Work as part of Repairs & Maintenance team to maintain and repair homes to a good standard.
• Be a friendly, approachable team player with strong customer service.

Have you got the right tools for the job?
Platform Property Care need an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Nottinghamshire and the surrounding area to join our talented Repairs & Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard.
You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage, as you will be delivering Multi Trade repairs and maintenance.
The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.

We want someone who has:

• NVQ L2 Carpentry
• Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Carpenter
• Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council
• Associated trade skills of plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling
• Experience of delivering multi-trade work
• Good organisational skills
• Experience of keeping jobs on track
• The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
• Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
• Full current valid driving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required.

This role covers Nottinghamshire and South West Lincolnshire, so you'll need to be based in or within easy reach of Nottingham or Newark.
