Job summary

Zertus UK & Ireland is recruiting a Group Head of Technical Operations to lead and develop the technical function across five confectionery and snacking manufacturing sites, driving consistency, standardisation and continuous improvement. You will ensure world-class food safety, quality and compliance, while strengthening customer relationships and delivering audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Senior technical leadership across food manufacturing.
• Experience in confectionery or snacking sectors.
• Proven multi-site technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and compliance.
• Audits, regulatory requirements and retailer standards.
• HACCP level 4 and food safety qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across all Technical functions within Zertus UK & Ireland.
• Lead, coach and develop Site Technical Managers and wider teams.
• Drive standardisation of technical systems and quality management.
• Develop and implement Quality Management Systems.
• Ensure compliance with BRCGS standards and legislation.
• Strengthen food safety, quality and technical performance.
• Build customer relationships and represent the business during audits.
• Lead group-wide audit readiness and compliance programmes.
• Oversee HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and allergen management.
• Support technical innovation and capital projects.
