Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead technical facilities management, statutory compliance and estates assurance across a multi-site education contract. Reporting to the Contract Manager, you'll ensure buildings, assets and maintenance services are safe, compliant and reliable across our school estate.

Working with the Senior Facilities Manager, you'll translate findings into prioritised maintenance plans, lifecycle programmes and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing a complex or multi-site facilities, estates, property or asset portfolio with knowledge of hard FM, building services and statutory compliance.
• Proven experience leading compliance assurance, technical audits, risk management and remedial programmes; able to translate reports into maintenance plans and investments.
• Experience leading and developing teams and managing contractors, with strong stakeholder communication and the ability to influence and challenge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the statutory compliance programme with inspections, maintenance and remedial actions supported by auditable evidence.
• Assess estate condition, asset performance and technical risks and develop prioritised maintenance, lifecycle and investment recommendations.
• Oversee planned, reactive and remedial maintenance, set standards for engineers/contractors and verify safety and quality of work.
• Lead technical audits, risk reviews and incident investigations, ensure corrective actions progress and escalate significant concerns.
• Build relationships with client and school stakeholders, define works requirements and support procurement and delivery.
• Use CAFM and performance data to maintain reliable assurance reporting and develop team capability through mentoring.
