Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a proactive Relief Plant Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations across multiple sites, ensuring safe, efficient production and dispatch of concrete and mortar.

The role combines supervision, maintenance, stock control and quality checks, with close collaboration with customers, hauliers and internal teams to uphold health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site operations.
• Good IT skills and confidence with computer-based production systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the plant when covering a site.
• Coordinate production to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Operate batching and dispatch systems accurately.
• Batch concrete and mortar per procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor production for output, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Carry out routine plant inspections, maintenance and basic repairs.
