Job summary

Vickerstock is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for a multi-site role in Belfast. You will perform planned and breakdown maintenance across sites to uphold production efficiency. You will work with the Maintenance Manager to keep facilities compliant and reliable.

The role involves travel between sites, involvement in energy efficiency, and supervising contractors while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (electric bias preferred).
• Post-qualification mechanical and electrical experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Able to read electrical drawings.
• Experience with pneumatics, inverters, servo drives, robotics, process wiring and safety controls.
• Ability to work at heights and read/understand maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance, repairs and reactive breakdown work.
• Manage maintenance activities via the CMMS and clear backlogs.
• Monitor energy use and support energy efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain hygienic maintenance practices and comply with lockout procedures.
• Supervise contractors and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Develop SOPs and maintenance information systems; maintain statutory inspection records.
• Travel between multiple sites to complete maintenance work as required.
